COFFEY -- Charles E. Coffey, age 79 and a resident of Albuquerque for 48 years, died Friday January 12, 2007 following an illness. Mr. Coffey is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sue Coffey; one daughter, Cheryl Coffey; one son, Wayne Coffey and his wife, Marilyn, all of Albuquerque; two grandchildren, Douglas and Kyle Coffey; one brother, Ralph Coffey and his wife, Wanda of Oklahoma City, OK; one sister-in-law, Mary E. Nelson and her husband, Bill of Bothell, WA; and several nieces and nephews. Charles was employed with Nationwide Papers for 38 years, a Navy Veteran and a member of Holiday Bowl Senior Men's Bowling League. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the Main Chapel of Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors with Pastor Alan Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery with Norm Smith, John Lindsey, Richard Shovelin, Wayne Coffey, Doug Coffey, and Kyle Coffey serving as casket bearers. Honorary bearers will be Bill Lobbley, Bill Nelson, and Ralph Coffey. The family requests that donations be made to Presbyterian Hospice or the New Mexico Cancer Center.
