CALVERT -- Chris Calvert, 57, died Sunday, January 14, 2007 after a 7-year battle with aplastic anemia. Chris is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jackie; father, Alex; brother, Lee; and sons, Sabin and Paul. Chris had a joy of life and took what his offered with infectious enthusiasm. He enjoyed outdoor activities, long hikes in the mountains, backpacking with his family, marathon running, cycling, and skiing. He always enjoyed a challenge, and encouraged his family and friends to live their lives fully. Chris had a passion for computers and technology, purchasing one of the first home computers available in the 1970s, and taught himself how it worked. He had a talent for trouble-shooting computer problems, and worked as a systems analyst at local businesses and Sandia National Labs for many years. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and optimism in the face of many challenges.
