BACILA -- Nick Bacila, formerly of Albuquerque, passed away on October 6, 2006 at the age of 81. He was born in West Homestead, PA, to Julia Vortolomei and Nicolae Bacila. He was a member of the Wood, Wire & Metal Lathers Union in San Francisco, CA for 25 years and he was also a member of the Albuquerque Carpenters Union for 9 years prior to his retirement. Prior to living in Albuquerque he resided in Los Lunas with his wife, Mary who predeceased him in 1981. He was a loving and devoted husband and father and his loss leaves a void in the lives of those who loved him. To honor Nick's memory and reunite him with his wife, Mary, his loved ones and friends are invited to attend a ceremony on Nick and Mary's wedding anniversary date, January 17, 2007 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m.
