MARTINEZ -- MARK The family of Mark Martinez would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the many friends and family who conveyed their condolences during our time of sorrow. It was especially comforting to have family, neighbors, and friends by our side during this difficult time. Thanks to all who sent food, flowers, monetary donations, sympathy cards, mass cards, made phone calls, sent e-mails, and called on the family in person. We would especially like to thank all of the New Mexico racing community for their support and generosity as well as their attendance at Mark's services. The Santa Fe area racers, the Farmington area racers and the Roswell racers were all exceptionally supportive and generous. We would also like to thank the New Mexico Corvette Association for their attendance. Father Mike Shea, Deacon Enrique Padilla, Deacon Chuck Cullen and Deacon Steve from The Prince of Peace Catholic Community delivered comforting services. Special thanks to Patricia Kanady and Aileen Gallegos for singing at our son's services. The organist, Joanne Stahl played beautifully to accompany them. Mark worked for UPS and all of their support was gratefully appreciated. They, as well as Teamsters Local 492, have been generous and supportive as well. Special thanks to Darren White and the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department for their valuable assistance. We also appreciated the local news coverage of Channel 7 (KOAT), which was very professional and courteous with regard to their reporting on Mark. Mark would have been honored and humbled to have such an outpouring of love and support. He is deeply missed but will live forever in the hearts of those he touched.
