ALBERT -- Sarah S. Albert, 81, a resident of Albuquerque for over 20 years, died September 30, 2006. She is survived by her husband, Milton Peak; daughter, Diane LaBar and husband, Sam; one grandchild, Michelle D. Sanchez and husband, Doug; two great-grandchildren, Deanna and Eric; brother, Dr. James H. Simonton and wife, Delores; and other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Ned Simonton; father, Dr. James Edward Simonton; and mother, Jewell Simonton. Sarah was born in Abbeville, AL and was graduated from Abbeville High School in 1941. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts from Huntingdon College in 1946. Sarah was a school teacher throughout her life in Alabama, Florida, and Ohio. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. She loved to sing, play the piano, and volunteer for various church work and activities. Cremation has taken place and per Sarah's wishes, no services will take place.
