ILLESCAS -- Lily Marina Illescas, 70, a loving mother and grandmother, of Albuquerque, surrounded by family, died at her home on August 15, 2006. Lily was born July 5, 1936 in Palencia, Guatemala. She was one of 9 children born to Luis Gramajo and Carlota Sandoval. Lily and her five children moved to Boston, MA in 1968. She then moved and settled in Albuquerque, NM in 1979 where she successfully raised her children. Lily is survived by her three daughters, Aura Chinchilla and her husband, Antonio, Elubia Gilbert and her husband, Jim, and Claudia Felix and her husband, Vincent; two sons, Marco Illescas and his wife, Trennie and Erik Illescas and his wife, Annette; 19 grandchildren; one brother; and two sisters. Pallbearers will be Antonio Chinchilla Jr., Paul Chinchilla, Matthew Chinchilla, Patrick Illescas, James M. Gilbert, and Aaron Felix. A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. with a viewing starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2006 at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. at St Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
