SALCIDO -- Joseph (Joe) F. Salcido passed away peacefully and surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at the age of 46. Joe was an active member in the Albuquerque community giving freely of his personal time and effort to coach and mentor young boys, imparting in them a foundation of honesty, trust, good sportsmanship, and faith in God our Father. Joe is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Stella and a son, Jordan, his pride and joy. Joe is also survived by his parents, Fernando and Freda Salcido and siblings: Anthony (Clovis) Salcido and wife, Tricia, Cathi Mairson and husband, Bill, Paul Salcido and wife, Lisa; his in-laws, Ed and Dolores Otero and their children and families, Becky Sandoval, David Otero, and Michelle Montoya. Joe will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Joe was a member of the Catholic Church. For the many friends and family, there will be a visitation on Friday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Mrs. Martha Herrera. Final visitation will be Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Gene Gries. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anthony Salcido, Paul Salcido, Bill Mairson, Arnold Maxwell, Johnny Long, Troy Montoya, Greg Sandoval, George Carrillo, and Mario Sandoval.
