VALDEZ -- Florentina Valdez, age 85, passed away Wednesday morning, July 5, 2006. She was preceded in death by her father; mother; three brothers; and a nephew, Albert. Tina was born in the railroad town of Hebron, NM on January 19, 1921. She worked as an accountant for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and retired in 1973. She is survived by nieces, Ramona Simmons, Kathryn Valdez; nephew, Ernest Valdez, all of Albuquerque. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW, Albuquerque, NM, on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. She was loved by all who knew her. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW, ABQ. 505-343-8008
