Mary graduated from Grenville High School in Grenville, NM. She met her husband, Ed "Slim" at a basketball game. In 1937, as a wedding gift, her parents, Kosta and Zina Dimitroff gave the newlyweds a trio of chickens so they would always have something to eat. They continued raising chickens, rabbits, dogs, and cats their entire life together. Mary retired from Valley Gold Dairy in the accounting department and continued to assist her husband who was the Superintendent of the Poultry and Rabbit Department at the New Mexico State Fair for 38 years. Mary was a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho and never missed a Sunday Service until the last few weeks of her life. Her love of God and her faith in Christ was prominent in her life. She was prepared to join God in Heaven. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and worked hard at every task she faced. She had a great sense of humor and extended her love to all she got to know over her enriching life. She reached out to people and especially to the young she encountered. She loved all the animals she raised in her life especially her dog, Jethro. While the family is eternally grateful for her almost 92 years on the earth, she will be missed and loved forever. We thank the Andrew House staff and the supportive employees with High Pointe Care and Quality Continuum Hospice especially Dr. Samuel Goldman.
