SPIKES -- Ella Mae Spikes, 73, of Albuquerque passed away June 3, 2006 at Albuquerque Regional Hospital. She was born September 7, 1932 in Idabel, Oklahoma to Carter and Bammer (Davis) Walker. Ella was a member of Metropolitan Church of God in Christ, a member of Eastern Star, an usher and mother of the church. Ella was a foster mother to 19 children. Ella is survived by her husband, Charles Spikes of Albuquerque; her daughters, Anaia Davidson of Vista, California and Moraijaii Spikes of Albuquerque; her son, Phillip Spikes and his wife, Patricia of Albuquerque; a sister, Dollene and her husband, James Posey of Atlanta, Georgia; six grandchildren; nieces, nephews, sister and brother in laws. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and five brothers. Funeral services are pending with Strong-Thorne Mortuary.
