ANAYA -- Antonia. Mrs. Antonia Anaya, 76, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on May 31. 2006. Mrs. Anaya is the beloved mother to Alfred Anaya; Eugene C. Anaya and wife, Terry; Belinda Henry and husband, Abe; Lynn M. Nunez and husband, Rick. She is also survived by one sister, Mary Roybal; two brothers, Frank Varela and wife, Lila; and Robert Varela; four grandchildren, Shaun, Joseph, Rudy and Alicia; six great grandchildren, Neesa, Amari, Tony, Abigail, Carlos and Rudy Jr.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Anaya was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation for Mrs. Anaya will be Monday morning from 11:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph Pl. BERRENBERG -- Virginia Berrenberg has completed life's struggles here on earth and has left to be with her Creator and Lord, as well as with all of her loved ones who have already departed. She died at age 88 in the early morning of May 31, 2006. Virginia Rogers was born in Atlantic City, NJ on October 21, 1916. In her teens, her family moved to California where she attended Hollywood High School. She married Jack Berrenberg in 1939 in Taos, NM. Except for a short period during WWII, she resided in Taos from 1939 until 2002 when she moved to Las Colinas Village retirement home in Albuquerque. She worked for many years as a secretary at the Taos Pueblo Medical Clinic and later at Centinel Bank of Taos and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Taos. Virginia is survived by her three children: Ree Christensen of Oakridge, OR; Lance Berrenberg of Albuquerque, NM; and Joy Berrenberg of Littleton, CO. Virginia was a loving and dedicated mother to her children. She enjoyed visiting her children, gardening, baking, scenic drives throughout New Mexico and Colorado, and she especially liked celebrating the Christmas Holidays. Memorial Services will be held at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church, 4601 Juan Tabo, NE, Albuquerque, NM on Saturday, June 24, 2006 at 11 a.m.

CARPENTER -- LARRY DEWAYNE "Assuredly, I say to you, Today you will be with ME in Paradise." Luke 23:43 Larry DeWayne Carpenter went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 30, 2006. Larry is survived by his wife of 29 years, Junetta Carpenter; two sons, DeWayne F. Carpenter and wife, Misty, Jason Carpenter and wife, Juanita; grandchildren, Dominique, Desmond, and Mikayla; mother, Doris Carpenter and father, DeWayne M. Carpenter; sisters, Kathy Davis and Charlotte Mathis; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Larry was born on November 04, 1955 and was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. He was actively involved in youth sports and loved working with children. Larry was a member of Legacy Church and loved celebrating the Lord. His passion for the Gospel led him to minister to all he met. He touched and blessed everyone, and his desire was to lead people to know his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. CHRISSOS -- William M. Chrissos, a resident of Upper Arlington, Ohio, died Thursday, June 1, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Charlotte Chrissos. Bill and Charlotte moved to Albuquerque in December 2005 for him to be cared for by their daughter, Cynthia Reinhart, and her family. Bill was born Basilios Michael Chrissos on February 4, 1924, to Michael and Zoe Chrissos, in Aperi, Karpathos, a Greek isle. He was brought by his father to the United States as a young teenager to escape the ravages of WWII, and lived for a time in Cadiz, OH. He enlisted in the army, and served in the 10th Mountain Army Division, Company L, 86th Mountain Infantry (Ski Troops), and completed his training at Camp Hale in Leadville, CO, where he saw snow for the first time, before deployment to Italy. He fought the Germans courageously, and was wounded in the Apennine Mountains in northern Italy in 1945, and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his bravery in combat. Upon discharge from the army, he moved briefly to New Mexico, where he attended New Mexico Teachers College (now Western NM University) before transferring to Ohio State University in Columbus. There, he met his wife Charlotte, at an Ohio State football game, in the student section. Bill graduated from Ohio State in 1951, suma cum laude and was president of the Ohio State International Studies Club. He and Charlotte moved to Upper Arlington in 1957, and raised 5 children in houses on Leighton Rd. and Fishinger Rd. Bill had a long career in the finance and lending business, and retired from ITT Industries in 1994. Upon retirement, he and Charlotte were able to travel with his son, Michael, to Karpathos and other Greek islands and to New Mexico and reconnect with family and friends of long ago. Bill is also survived by his children, Cynthia Reinhart, husband, Bill and their children Alex, Kate and Bobby of Albuquerque, NM; Annette Chrissos and sons, Jonathan and Jacob of Columbus, OH; Nancy Schneider and children, Adam, Jordan, Gary and Maya of Columbus, OH; Michael, wife Lisa and their daughters, Zoe and Marisa of Ann Arbor, MI; Cathy Slater, husband, Rob and their sons, Joseph, Grant and Gavin of Upper Arlington, OH; and his beloved cousin, Manolis Kapetanakis, wife, Thalia and their children Didi, Steve (of whom he was particularly close having lived with the Chrissos family while attending Ohio State), and Bill of Athens, Greece; sister, Fotini Sarris of Karpathos, Greece; special cousin, Sophia Lyrist and husband, John of Atlantic City, NJ; and many adoring friends and family. Papa was a devoted husband and father, and made life-long sacrifices for his family. He is loved and missed. He was an enthusiastic member of the Greek Orthodox Church choir, and he and his wife participated for many years in the annual Greek festival. The family wishes to thank Presbyterian Hospice for the love and care they gave to Bill during the past 3 months. Services will be held at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 555 N. COOPER -- Alna Flois Cooper, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 31, 2006. She was preceded in death by husband, Joseph "Zeke" Sandoval; parents, Herman and Irene Johnston; brother, Troy Johnston; and sister, Oletha Yocum. She is survived by her sons, Dennis and Don Sandoval; sisters, Patsy Vernon and Wilma and husband, Don Miller; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. DUDLEY -- Shella S. age 43 of Albuquerque, passed away Friday June 2, 2006. Shella was born January 30, 1963 in Fort Smith, AR., the daughter of Lewis and Marilyn Spencer. She married Doug Dudley on June 7, 1986 in Casper, Wyoming and they have made Albuquerque their home since 1989. Surviving are her husband of 20 years, Doug; her four year old daughter, Maria; her sister, Sherian Spencer of San Diego, CA; her brother, Scott, and his wife, Amy Spencer of Winston-Salem, N.C.; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and two uncles. Shella was a devoted wife and mother, and an educator for the Albuquerque Public Schools. As a life long learner and teacher who inspired children, colleagues and friends, she was recognized by the local community with various educational and community awards. Shella was a member of Paradise Hills United Methodist Church, and recently elected Vice-President of Alpha Delta Kappa Educational Sorority. Her other interests included fly fishing, camping, reading and cycling. Shella was a passionate New York Yankees fan. Celebration of her life will be held Wednesday June 7, 2006, 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church 314 Lead SW, with her Pastor David Snyman, officiating, Interment Sunset Memorial Park. ENDEAN -- Willis Endean, age 85, died peacefully at his home on May 31, 2006 with his loving family present. Willis was born in Port Huron, MI on August 9, 1920. He married Janet Miers on June 1, 1941 in Kahoka, MO. In 1947 they moved to Albuquerque from Bellwood, IL where Willis took a job as a gas pipefitter. In 1959 he completed construction of the current family home in the Hyder Park Neighborhood. In 1965 he purchased Jay Grear, Inc. and formed Endean Brothers Plastics with his brother, William Endean Jr., and became the first "Plastics" distributor in New Mexico. Upon his retirement in 1985, he transferred the family business to his daughter, Anita, who now owns the Endean Sign Company. One of his other accomplishments is he helped organize the construction of the first Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in the early 1950s. Willis was a kind, mild tempered, gentle man who had many passions in life; his Christian faith, reading, tennis, golf, sailing, computer surfing, genealogy, model sailboats, his children, and mostly, his wife of 65 years, Janet. Willis was preceded in death by his parents, Anne Hardwick Willis and William Endean Sr.; his brother, John Fredrick Endean; and his only son, David Willis Endean. He is survived by Janet, his wife; his brother, William Jr.; daughters, Leslie Endean Singh and husband, Dr. Jagdev Singh, Laurie Stanton Theiler and husband, Jim Theiler, Elisabeth Endean and husband, Terry Booze, Anita Endean, Rachelle Endean and husband, Greg Hawrylyshyn. Willis was also blessed with his grandchildren: Jesse William, Tammy, Lindsay, Carrie, Elena, Lisa, Sofya; and great-grandaughter, Alexiss. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday June 10, 2006 at the residence of Anita Endean, 340 Milagro Lane SW, Albuquerque 87105. His love will live on through his friends, colleagues, and family.

FARMER -- Linda Raye Farmer, 70, passed away May 22, 2006 in her home in Pahrump, NV, after a hard-fought battle with leukemia. Born in Childress, TX, October 1, 1935, she had lived in Pahrump since 1997. For 30 years Linda lived in New Mexico in the Albuquerque, Belen, and Los Lunas area. Linda was first a mother and wife and then an advertising specialty salesperson as well as an active community member with the Los Lunas Chamber of Commerce where she served as president. Even when near death, her concerns were for other people, which stemmed from her strong Christian faith. She will be sorely missed. Lind is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert Farmer; mother, Jewell Burns; daughter, Susan Gates; son, Michael Farmer; sister, Pat Monden; brother, Buddy Burns; three grandchildren; and dog, Babe.

FEDORAVICIUS -- Martha Fedoravicius, 96, an Albuquerque resident for 10 years, died Monday, May 29, 2006. Martha was born on January 22, 1910 in Siauliai, Lithuania. She was formerly a resident of Canton, OH and Scio, OH. She is survived by her son, Al Fedoravicius and wife, Toby of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Greg Kublin and wife, Patti, Eric Fedoravicius and wife, Diane, Nicole Fedoravicius and husband, Benjamin Kozower and Andrew Fedoravicius; great-grandchidren, Bradley, Skylar, and Evan. FISHER -- Kenneth R. "Kenny" Fisher, age 44, of Rio Rancho, left us suddenly, Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Kenny was a 1979 graduate of El Dorado High School. In 1978, he met the love of his life, Susan. They married May 15, 1982. He became an apprentice electrician in 1981 and was a loyal brother and member of the Local IBEW #611. His wife and children were his very life. He was a loving and caring husband, father, brother, son, and friend who was highly involved in his children's lives. Kenny spent endless hours rebuilding and babying his 1967 cherry red Mustang which was given to him by his father. He is survived by his wife, Susan; daughter, Pam; son, Troy; father, Fred and his wife, Mary Angelyn; sister, Debbie Surdan and her husband, Bob; brother, Harry and his wife, Lisa; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie and his mother, Alice. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 5, 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Westside Chapel, cremation will follow. GALL -- Robert Perry Gall, 85 and a resident of Rio Rancho, died May 31, 2006. Born July 14, 1920, in Chicago, Ill., he is the son of Peter Gustave Gall and Esther Elvira Peterson Gall. He was a public relations executive at Sandia National Laboratories before his retirement. He also was a World War II veteran. HINDI-GREEN -- Monira Hindi-Green, 78, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2006. Monira was born in Duran, NM to William and Rasmie Hindi on May 29, 1928. She was preceded in death by her three children, Mary Elizabeth, Melheim, and Norbert; her husband, John; her parents; and her brother, Basheer Hindi. Monira is survived by her brothers, Moneer, Baheej, Azeez, Shawkeet, and Ficel; two sisters, Fareeza Belcher and Lila Hindi; sister-in-law, Jody Hindi; her faithful companion, Oreo; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends. She retired from the U. S. Postal Service, many years at the bulk mail center in Denver and then here in Albuquerque. She was a volunteer at the Bear Canyon Senior Center, at Kaseman Hospital and at the Women's Hospital. After her college graduation she taught elementary school at Bernalillo and Our Lady of Fatima. Monira's husband was a Chief Master Sgt. and the family was stationed in Germany, Denver, Atlanta, and Albuquerque; she enjoyed living in all these cities. She enjoyed passing the time at the casino and lunching with her friends and family. Monira had a heart of gold and will be deeply missed. KIERSTEAD -- Lorena M. Kierstead, (nee RINGSHALL) beloved wife, mother, Nana, sister, friend, died peacefully at home on May 22, 2006, with family members at hand. Lorena was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer one year ago at MD Anderson in Houston, TX. Upon returning home, she immediately began receiving both radiation and chemo-therapies at NM Cancer Center in Albuquerque. Her family wishes to acknowledge the superb professional care she received by Dr. Haskins and staff at NMCC and her care providers with Presbyterian Hospice during a very debilitative and demanding year. Lorena and family were fully aware of the serious ramifications of her illness, yet she battled stoically through her many challenges, quite resigned to her formidable prognosis. Lorena was born April 25, 1935, in New Malden, Surrey, England. Lorena is survived by and will be sorely missed by her adoring husband of 51 years, Thom; her three children, Chandra and husband, Michael Bales, Roy and wife, Gretchen and their son, Gavin, and Sheryn and husband, Sam Lockwood and children, Shayna, Sam, and Moriah; brother, Alan Ringshall and family; and sisters, Heather Tate and family and Sharon Jacobs and family. Lorena's joy in life centered around her family. She was truly an exemplary wife, mother, and Nana. She was truly an uncommonly pleasant, guileless, helpful, and talented woman, giving generously of her assistance, time and efforts at every opportunity. Throughout her life, she influenced a huge array of family, friends and acquaintances. Lorena was active in quilting, crocheting, knitting, target shooting, joining Thom on motorcycle rides, and encouraging and supporting her extended family whenever needed. LOWE -- Bessie Lowe, 98, a resident of Albuquerque for over 70 years, passed away June 1, 2006. She was born April 29, 1908 near Portales, NM to J.W. and Tennie (Fisher) Morrison. She married Sir Walter Lowe on June 22, 1933, and they raised three sons together. Bessie was a loving mother, a beloved grandmother, and a great friend to everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Bessie enjoyed reading, cooking, loved working in her garden and being in the outdoors. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Bessie was preceded in death by her husband and a son, David Truett Lowe. She is survived by her sons, Carroll Lowe and his family and Wayne Carroll and his family. LOWRY -- Margaret Harrison Lowry, died Friday, June 2, 2006, in Albuquerque after a lingering illness related to advanced age. She was born in Coldwater, Mississippi on July 6, 1915. She was a graduate of Olive Branch High School in Mississippi and then moved to Memphis, TN. In 1940, she married James L. Lowry, Sr. and enjoyed 56 years of a loving marriage to him. She lived in Memphis until she moved to Albuquerque in 1984. Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James L. Lowry, Sr. She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Anne Taylor of Nashville, TN; a son, James L. Lowry, Jr. M.D. of Albuquerque. She is also survived by three granddaughters, Stephanie Brooks of Franklin, TN, Anne Taylor of Albuquerque and Amy Collis of Minneapolis, MN; and three grandsons, Stephen Taylor of Waxhaw, NC, Jeff Lowry of Albuquerque and Vince Lowry of Los Angeles, CA. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren. Margaret worked in retail sales in Memphis for a time and spent many years as a devoted homemaker. She was very active in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Memphis, and later in the Heights First Church of the Nazarene of Albuquerque. Margaret had an unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior. She was much beloved as a wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She lived life with faith, style and grace and faced death with eternal hope of resurrection and reunion with her beloved husband, Jimmy. Don was a long time resident of Albuquerque and spent the last 5 years in Los Lunas with his beloved wife Tina. Though Don enjoyed many things, he loved music the most and was a talented musician who was always willing to share his knowledge and experience with others and appreciated learning from others as well. PABLITA -- Maria Lourdes Pablita Chavez, 84, a lifetime resident of Torreon, NM, passed away Saturday June 3, 2006, at her home with her loving family beside her. She was born March 13, 1922, to Antonio O. and Concepcion (Vigil) Chavez in Torreon, NM. She married Fidel Gabaldon Chavez on June 3, 1938 in Torreon, NM; he preceded her in death on July 17, 1998. She was a member of the San Antonio Catholic Church in Torreon, NM and a member of the Rosary Altar Society. Mrs. Chavez is survived by seven sons, Richard Chavez and his wife, Socorro, Leon Chavez, Tercio Chavez, Leroy Chavez and his wife, Irene, Gilbert Chavez and his wife, Maxine, Fidel Chavez Jr., and George Chavez and his wife, Rita; three daughters, Concepcion Candelaria and her husband, Leroy, Rosemary Chavez, and Angela Valenzuela, and her husband, Jose; two brothers, Joe Chavez, and Tony Chavez; three sisters, Amalia Tafoya, Melba Vigil, and Rose Salas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Juan and Thresa; 24 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Natividad Chavez; and several brothers and sisters. She will be remembered as a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend, and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. PARNELL -- JOSEPH H. PARNELL, SR. (Maj. USAF Ret.), WWII and Korean War Veteran, died May 23, 2006, at Parkview Hospital, Pueblo, CO, where he was a patient at the VA Nursing Home Care Unit. He was 86 years old. He is survived by his wife, Doris, of the family home in Tijeras, NM; son, Samuel S. (Laura) Parnell; granddaughters, Jessica Bryant and Amanda Parnell; and great-granddaughter, Aubrey D'Angelo. Also a sister, Mildred, who resides in an assisted living facility in Alabama; and many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brother-in-law. Predeceased by his son, Joseph H. Parnell, Jr., 1st Lt. U.S. Army - Helicopter Pilot, whose remains are interred in Fort Logan Cemetery. Joseph was born January 7, 1920, in Munford, AL, where he attended school. He was drafted into the military one day before Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941. Joseph served his country 23 years. He was among the first American servicemen to serve in England. From there he entered flight training, winning his wings in February 1944, and his commission as 2nd Lt. He served in China, Japan, Korea, and Germany with his last assignment at Ramey AFB, Puerto Rico, where he was Aircraft Commander of KC135, refueling B-52s during the Cold War. He retired from active duty June 1, 1964, with the status of command pilot. Joseph earned many medals including: Purple Heart, Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with two oakleaf clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal, Korean War Service Medal, National Defense Medal, and many campaign and service awards. PFAFF -- BARBARA ELAINE On March 25, 2006, Barbara Elaine Pfaff died after a lengthy battle with cancer. Barbara was born to Daniel (deceased) and Charlotte Pfaff in Los Alamos on July 25, 1944. After she graduated from Los Alamos High School, she moved to Albuquerque to receive her BA in Art History. She then left New Mexico, returning in 1984 with her daughter, Danielle, to complete her MA and Masters of Fine Arts at UNM. Barbara was a dedicated sculptor and artist. She had shows in New York, Los Angeles, and Dallas, as well as many here in Albuquerque. In August of this year, she would have celebrated her 27th anniversary in A.A. Barbara was an active member in Albuquerque Zen Center, High Desert Yoga, and PLTC support group. She is survived by her daughter Danielle and grandson Benjamin James, born to Danielle and Darrell Ramsey on May 22, 2006. She is also survived by her mother, Charlotte Pfaff; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Jan Pfaff, Norman and Janice Pfaff; as well as many, many friends. TRYON -- Marian Boyle Tryon, a resident of Rio Rancho, N.M., died Thursday evening, May 18, 2006, at the age of 84 years. Marian was born in Rumson, N.J., February 11, 1922. She was the eldest of four children born to John Boyle and Marian Callahan Boyle. Marian was a graduate of Rumson High School and attended college in New York for one year. While serving as the executive secretary for a local Army post commander, Marian met then-Sergeant Frank Tryon in the U.S. Army. They were married Sept. 27, 1942, shortly before Frank deployed to Europe. Upon the conclusion of World War II, Frank Tryon remained in the Army and with Marian as his best friend and advisor. He retired in 1971 as a Lieutenant Colonel. Thereafter, Marian and Frank resided in Las Cruces, N.M., until 1998 when they moved to Rio Rancho. Frank passed on in 2003. Marian is survived by eight loving children, Capt. Frank Tryon, Jr., U.S. Navy retired, of Cheyenne, Wyo.; LTC. John Edward Tryon, U.S. Army retired, of Indianapolis, Ind.; Dr. James Robert Tryon, M.D., of Bosque Farms, N.M.; Bill Tryon, attorney, of Rio Rancho; Brig. Gen. Richard Thomas Tryon, U.S. Marine Corps, of Quantico, Va.; Capt. WERME -- Barbara A. Werme, 74, a resident of Albuquerque for 43 years, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at home. She was married to David C. Werme for 54 years before his death in 1996. She was born and raised in Massachusetts before moving west to begin her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ann and Walter Kuconis. She is survived by children, David C. and wife Patricia of Plano, TX, Peter S., Felicia B. Morga, both of Albuquerque, and Christopher E. and wife, Janet A. of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Jessica L. and Rebekah A. Morga of Albuquerque, Vanesa J., Hayley C. and Nycole R. Werme, all of Las Vegas, NV, and Laney K. N. Werme of Albuquerque; sister, Jeannie Knight and brother-in-law, Nolan Mitchell, both of Cedar City, UT and their family; nephew and niece, Rusty and Carol and their families of Massachusetts; surrogate son, Paul Lisle of Oregon; and extended family and friends. She was a dedicated teacher's aide for the special education department at APS. She was a devoted wife and mother; she was always involved in her children's activities and lives. She deeply loved her grandchildren. She will be missed. Memorial Mass was celebrated Saturday, June 3, 2006, 9:00 a.m., Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Road, NE. Private interment at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to Vista Care Hospice-Vista Care Sandia Hospice Foundation, 5201 Venice NE Ste.
