MORRIS -- Ellas "Buddy" Morris, age 66, of Albuquerque, went home to be with his Lord, Monday, May 29, 2006 as a result of pancreatic cancer. Buddy was born and raised in Carlsbad, NM, son of Edith Morris. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 until 1964. He moved to California where he met and married Eddiena "Dee" Beck. He worked for many years for Barberollan in Woodland, CA. Buddy then started his own business making and selling shaved ice, expanding his business to include state-wide events. He and Dee moved back to New Mexico in 2003 to retire. Buddy was very outgoing, could sell snow to an Eskimo, always was the life of the party, and would light up any room that he walked into. Buddy is survived by his wife, Dee; son, Todd Morris; daughter, Kimberly Morris; children from a former marriage, Cindy, Robin, and Troy; brothers, Duard Morris and Steve Morris; other family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 1, 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Westside Chapel. A private family Committal Service will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
