PAULSEN -- John W. Paulsen, Master Sgt. (USAF Ret.), 87, died Saturday, May 13, 2006 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Verla Paulsen of the family home; son, Eugene Paulsen and wife, Nikki of Minot, ND; daughter, Joan Shirley and husband, Wayne of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Kirsten, Emily, Karen, Jennifer, John, and Amanda; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Paulsen was preceded in death by his grandson, Kevin Shirley and his two sisters. He served twenty years in the United States Air Force and worked for twenty years for the United States Post Office. Mr. Paulsen never met a stranger and was known for his humor and love of people. Services will be held Saturday, May 20, 2006, 1:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Friends may visit Friday, May 19, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel.
