SANCHEZ -- Dorothy Sanchez, 79, a lifetime resident of New Mexico, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2006. Dorothy was born March 24, 1926 the daughter of Maurice and Frances Madrid Silva in Alamogordo, NM. Another angel has gone home. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Dorothy was a chile connoisseur, a great cook, and a wonderful entertainer. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Joe, in 2003. Dorothy is survived by four children, Alice Garcia and husband, Ralph of Albuquerque, NM, Joan Morgan and husband, Bob of Tucson, AZ, Cynthia Gunderson of Albuquerque, NM, and Michael Sanchez, M.D., of San Antonio, TX; seven grandchildren, Carrie Lyn and husband, Zach, Aric and wife, Julie, Dee Ann and husband, Peter, Jayson and wife, Stephanie, Rachael, Carla, and Suzanne; five great-grandchildren, Alexander, Carolyn, Madison, Natalie, and Milo. The Rosary for Dorothy will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2005 at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, March 23, 2006 at 10:00 a.m.at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church.
