FOWLER -- Nancy Lee Fowler passed away on March 18, 2006 in Albuquerque, NM. Mrs. Fowler was born in Lockwood, MO in 1935. She attended several "one room" schoolhouses in the Lockwood/Greenwood area as she was growing up. Her father Ralph Lee Marshall passed away when she was quite young. In 1954 the family moved to Kansas City, MO. In 1955 Nancy moved to Denver, CO. and worked in publishing and retail. In 1960 Nancy met and married Julian Larry Fowler. She raised her family as an Air Force wife, moving frequently. The family settled permanently in New Mexico in 1978. Nancy was divorced in 1991 and moved to Albuquerque. She began traveling, living for a time in Guadalajara, Mexico. She loved Mexico, also visiting Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, and Copper Canyon. She learned Argentine Tango, Yoga & weightlifting at UNM, and loved bicycling and hiking. Nancy volunteered weekly at the VA Medical Center where she made many friends. She liked making quilts, having garage sales, reading, gardening, and most of all-she loved FISHING. A long-time member of the Bear Canyon Senior Citizen's Center Fishing Club, she loved fishing with her friends. Her favorite spots were Monastery Lake, Bonito Lake, the Cochiti spillway, and Molas Lake. She is preceded in death by her stepfather, Finis Matt Allison and Mother, Helen Gladys Bush; a sister, Anna Deane Parnall and brother, Robert Allison. She is survived by her sister, Mary Leon of Kansas City, MO.; children, Juli Fowler of Albuquerque, Jay Fowler of Denver, CO, Matthew Fowler and wife, Sarai; and granddaughter, Aja of Roswell, NM. and William Fowler of Las Vegas, NV., and his children, Tasha and Seth; nieces and nephews, Steve Leon of Kansas City, MO, Scott Leon and his wife, Julie of Kansas City, MO and Gayla Sutton and her husband, Dewey of Gilbert, AZ, Craig Allison and his wife, Leslie of Phoenix, AZ; and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.
