DENMAN -- Dorothy (Dot) Elaine Denman 79, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday morning, March 18, 2006. Dorothy was born to Hazel and Jimmy Evans on December 16, 1926 in Houston, TX. She married the love of her life, a handsome marine named Don Denman on January 1, 1946. Don has been patiently waiting for her in Heaven since 1986. Dorothy is survived by her children, Mary Halberg and husband, Clark, Sherry Hunt and husband, Michael, Dianna Isom and husband, Marty, Don Denman Jr., Mike Denman and wife, Suzi; grandchildren, Matt Halberg and wife, Michelle, Lisa Edgel and husband, Todd, Heather Brenner and husband, Kevin, Nick Emerson and wife, Lenora, Christopher Emerson, Katy Winans and husband, Don, Ivan Lightfoot and wife, Wendy, Zachary Campbell, and Ashley Isom; beloved great-grandchildren, Miranda & Madison Halberg, Hannah Edgel, Haley Brenner, Kristen, Sarah and Brandon Emerson, Jacob Winans, Noah and Caleb Lightfoot. Dorothy was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and for many years a member of the Immanuel's Chancel Choir. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held on Thursday in El Paso, TX at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Viewing will be held at French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 from 4 to 7 p.m. Should friends desire contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers. We thank God for the love, quirkiness, great food, hugs, kisses, and laughter Mom gave us. See ya later Mom. The dream was possible.
