BROTHERTON -- JEROLD H. Brian Baker and his wife, Tracie would like to notify friends of the demise of his grandfather, Jerold H. Brotherton on Wednesday, February 22, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rebecca Catherine Brotherton (nee Riggs); his children, Linda Sue Baker of Albuquerque and Charles William Brotherton of Colorado Springs, CO; and his nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Jerold was born on February 4, 1921 in Carrollton, MO. Professionally he was involved in the food industry, starting two different food establishments in the Albuquerque metro area. He spent the last 30 years of his career as a ranch manager in Placitas. But, closest to his heart was his spiritual life. He symbolized his dedication to his God on July 2, 1949. He was a minister of Jehovah's Witnesses for 57 years in several congregations. His skills and talents in food service coordination and cooking allowed him to be used at large conventions of Jehovah's Witnesses where he would cook for thousands in a timely and efficient manner. He was a common sight in the cook tents on the weekends when any congregation in the southwest would be building a new Kingdom Hall. The kind and empathetic care given him during his last year by Quality Continuum Hospice is gratefully acknowledged by his whole family. French Mortuary is taking care of the final arrangements. The Funeral will be held on March 4, 2006, 3 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, at 8904 Menaul NE, in Albuquerque.
