VALTIERRA -- George Valtierra, 49, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Tuesday. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Valtierra; his brothers, David and Eddie; and his step-father, William S. Potts. George is survived by his mother, Aurora Potts; brothers: Frank Valtierra and wife, Ilene; Antonio Potts and wife, Leticia; Charles Potts; sisters: Dolores Valtierra, Theresa Lopez and husband, Charles; and Diane Potts. George loved to play cards, watch TV, and volunteer at the Old Town Girls' and Boys' Club. He also loved serving at San Felipe Church and Immaculate Conception Church. A Visitation for George will be Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. and the Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the Reflection of Life© Chapel (Washington and Cutler NE). A Mass will be held on Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Graveside Service in Santa Fe at the National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Frank Valtierra, Antonio Potts, Charles Potts, Chris Romero, Damon Alvarez, and Richard Castillo.
