STRANDBERG -- Gilbert R. Strandberg, 71, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on January 3, 2006. He was born in Chicago, IL, and as a young man was a star football player who loved football, wrestling, and family. Mr. Strandberg was a professional plasterer and auto mechanic. He is survived by his daughter, Susan J. Weeks; sons, J. Steven Strandberg and Scott K. Strandberg; grandchildren, Joseph J. Strandberg, Ryan M. Strandberg, Steven J. Strandberg, Adam Weeks and his wife, April, Charity Alcouffe and husband, Matt, and Ysaac, Abram, Diego, and Saim Diaz-Strandberg. A Viewing will take place on Thursday January 12, 2006 from noon until 4:00 p.m. at Riverside Chapel. Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2006 also at Riverside Chapel with Rev. Linda Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m..
