HENDRIX -- James L. Hendrix, 70 years old, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2006 while surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by Phyllis, his loving wife of 45 years; daughters, Stephanie and Charlotte; son, James Alan; granddaughters, Abby and Amy; mother-in-law, Eufelia Bennett; sisters-in-law, Helen, Lucy Ann, and Kay; brothers-in-law, Bob, Wayne, and Phil; special nieces and nephews; and countless friends. His hobbies included fishing and bowling. He was past president and board member of both the Albuquerque Bowling Association and NM State Bowling Association. He retired from Qwest after 26 years of service. Jim will always be remembered for his sense of humor, commitment to his family and friends, and his willingness to help others. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at New Mexico Hematology & Oncology Center, Presbyterian Hospital, and Albuquerque Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held Monday January 9, 2006 at St. Joseph's Church on the Rio Grande with Deacon Charles Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the NM H & O, 4901 Lang Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109, in his name.
