HUSTON -- Jack D. Huston passed away on December 24, 2005. Mr. Huston was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1916. He is survived by his wife, Billie, of the family home; daughter, Kathleen Huston-Fortney and husband, Page, of Grand Junction, CO; granddaughter, Jennifer and husband, Jeff Weber, of Boulder, CO; great-granddaughters, Elle and Aime; son, Brian and wife, Darla, of Pueblo, CO; stepdaughters, Margaret Moreshead and children, Cody and Lyndsay Johnston of Albuquerque and Jayne Archer and husband, Bill, of Livermore, CA and daughters Julia, Janelle and Barbara. Jack was preceded in death by stepdaughter, Ann Bradley and stepson, Bobby Moreshead. Their surviving children are Kevin Bradley and Sybil Avila, both of California, and Shayne Moreshead and wife, Patricia, and their children, Kelsey and Ashton of Albuquerque; and loyal friend, Gary Johnston of Albuquerque. Jack and family came to Albuquerque in 1965 from Minneapolis where he had been with CBS WCCO radio and television. He continued his career as news anchor for local KGGM before retiring to play golf. His career spanned well over 65 years including stage, motion pictures, radio commercial announcer, actor, writer and producer. His voice was heard on countless national radio and TV commercials. Jack was the voice of Sandia and Los Alamos Labs for over twenty years. He attended the Universities of Nebraska and Minnesota. In World War II, Jack served his country as a B29 Bombardier. He was a member of the Elks Club, a Mason, American Legion #49 and theTanoan Country Club, where he and Billie were members for over twenty years. They played hundreds of golf courses throughout the country, as well as in Canada, Mexico, Hawaii and Jamaica. The Hustons traveled as members of the Family Motor Coach Association for fourteen years. A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2006 at Sunrise Funeral Options, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
