JIRON -- Olympia. Ms. Olympia Jiron, 96, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on December 19, 2005. Ms. Jiron is survived by four nieces, Lucille Montoya, Gloria Barron, Stella DeSoto and husband, Joe, Amelia Montoya and husband, Gerald; four nephews, Felix Chavez, Luis Chavez, Fermin Chavez and wife, Mary Lou, Arturo Chavez and wife, Maria; many grand- and great-grand-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Ms. Jiron was a member of the Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters, the Legion of Mary. She was a teacher for the Catron County schools, and was retired from the Tucumcari Schools after 50 years of service. Visitation will be Thursday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Church of the Ascension Catholic Church, 2150 Raymac SW, a Rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. by the Legion of Mary with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Pajarito Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Montoya, Juanito Montoya, David Harlan-Montoya, Robert Montoya, Steven Montoya and Rose Montoya. Honorary pallbearers will be April and Jolene.
