Dan loved classical and jazz music, and had an intuitive talent for Italian cooking and landscape design. He appreciated not only the aesthetics but the genetics of thoroughbred race horses and champion show dogs. He was select in the people he loved, but those he loved, he loved well. He is survived by his wife, Kay Bird of Santa Fe; his mother, Mildred Swiss, sister, Cindy Swiss and Cindy's daughter, Shay Argyres of Albuquerque; and brother, Dave Swiss, his wife, Evelyn and their daughter, Hillary of Fort Collins, CO. He is preceded in death by his father, Bill. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2005 at Dan and Kay's home. For directions, call 988-1183.
