BAUER -- Florence L. Bauer, born August 7, 1925, was called home by God September 30, 2005. A loving wife, preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ernest H. Bauer Jr., mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she will be sorely missed by those who love her. Florence is survived by her sisters, Dolores Puhl, Rosemary Stalle, and Shirley Paus; preceded in death by her brothers, Harry Meltzer, George Meltzer, and her sister, Hildegarde Schamber. Florence raised and nurtured 11 children, Ernest Bauer, Roseanna Koper, Thomas Bauer, Stephen Bauer, Kathleen Costa, Sharon Downing (deceased), Lorrie Cowan, Diana Scramuzzo, Judith Bauer, Randall Bauer, and Monica Bauer-Rutledge. She was a loving Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, a grandmother of 28, and a great-grandmother of seven. Florence was an active member of the Estancia Valley Catholic Parish, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church where she had been a longtime lector. A viewing (6:30 p.m.) and Vigil with Rosary (7:00 p.m.) will be at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church Thursday, October 6, 2005. A Funeral Mass will be on Friday, October 7, at 10:00 a.m.
