RAYBURN -- Ora McCollum Rayburn passed away August 22, 2005. Ora was born March 28, 1914 in Clarendon, TX. She grew up in Lubbock, TX. She married R. O. "Buck" Rayburn in 1936 having known his family most of her life. "Buck" and Ora moved around New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma as a result of his employment with Kraft Foods during their life together. They originally moved to Albuquerque in 1948 and lived here until 1963 when they were transferred to Oklahoma City. They retired in Albuquerque in 1976. Her husband preceded Ora in death in 1986. Her daughter and husband, Rita and Herb Pitts, of Albuquerque and her sister, Marie Hawk of Oklahoma City, as well as several nieces and nephews survive her. Ora resided at La Vida Llena for the past three years. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service is scheduled at La Vida Llena, 10501 Lagrima de Oro NE at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 26, 2005. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue, 17th Floor, Chicago, IL 60601-7633. Burial will take place in Lubbock, TX.
