KUPER -- Eric William Kuper, 48, of Escalante, UT, passed away August 6, 2005, at his home in Escalante. He was born March 14, 1957, in Albuquerque, NM, to William and Eileen Graffee Kuper. Eric worked as a firefighter, horse packer, hunting guide, and carpenter. He loved spending time outdoors. Eric was well liked and made friends easily wherever he lived. Eric was a veteran of the Coast Guard and throughout his life he resided in Alaska, New Mexico, and Utah. He is survived by his companion, Cindy Calbaum, Escalante, UT; mother, Eileen Kuper, Albuquerque, NM; brother and sister, Aaron and Rebecca, both of Albuquerque; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, William. Memorial Services will be held Friday, August 12, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. in the Escalante LDS Ward Chapel.
