JOHNSON -- Mary Opal Johnson fell asleep in the Lord Sunday, August 7, 2005. She was born in Wright County, MO to Luther and Lena Durham Watson on October 21, 1908. She was married to Dale Johnson on June 1, 1930 in Colorado Springs, CO. Opal worked many years for the Public Service of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She and her husband belonged to a Square Dance Club in the 50s and 60s. They taught square dancing in the Albuquerque schools. Mrs. Johnson was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, Dale; and nephew, Richard Thomas Moore and wife, Maricela. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her son, Donald Dale Johnson. Services will be held Thursday, 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. NE, Wednesday, 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
