HUFFMAN -- Joseph Gregory Huffman, 91, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Friday, July 29, 2005 at his home. He was born March 8, 1914 in San Pedro, CA, the only child of Clarence Joseph and Mary Cecilia Corcoran Huffman. He grew up in San Pedro where he graduated from High School. He obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Loyola University of Los Angeles, CA. He worked for Union Oil for 22 years and retired as a Senior Engineer with many patents for his inventions. He served in the United States Navy during World War II as a chief radio technician. He loved Ham Radio and Railroading. He was active at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science and served as a docent and as president of the Volunteer Association. He was very involved in his parish at Our Lady of Annunciation, serving as Lector and past president of the Golden Agers numerous times. Joe's motto was to make the world a better place. Survivors include many friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen. The Holy Rosary will be recited Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church, 2610 Utah St. NE, 87110. Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Utica, NY, where he will be laid to rest next to his wife, Helen. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, 1801 Mountain Rd. NW, 87104. French Mortuary 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE 823-9400
