PETERSEN -- Elsie E. Petersen passed away Thursday, July 28, 2005 in Albuquerque at the age of 76. Mrs. Petersen was a longtime parishioner of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. She retired after many years of Federal Service. Much of her life, lived as a single parent, was devoted to being a good mother and setting a good example to her three children in the areas of compassion, work ethics, and independence. The love of her life was caring for her special son, Richard, up until her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tranquilino and Antonia Baca; her brother, Gillie Baca; niece, Loretta Armijo; and nephew, Dennis Baca, Jr. Mrs. Petersen is survived by her children, Charlene Lopez and husband, Joe of Albuquerque, Richard Petersen of the family home, and Gail Ward of Sacramento, CA; brothers, Eloy Baca and Dennis Baca; sisters, Ada Chavez and husband, Charles, and Dolores Armijo; grandchildren, Denny Garley and wife, Elaine, Adam Garley, Shelly, David, and Paige Ward; five great-grandchildren; as well as many nephews and nieces. Funeral Services for Mrs. Petersen will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona SE, with a Rosary to be recited at 8:30 a.m. and the Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt.
