HILL -- Betty Gloss Hill, 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 22, 2005 in Albuquerque with her loving family at her side. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Fred C. Hill of Albuquerque; her children, Kayreen Sargent of Edgewood, NM, Kreg B. Hill of Albuquerque, and Karl G. Hill of Seattle, WA; by her sister, Frankye Flemins of Oklahoma City, OK; and by many more family members, and friends. Betty was born in Otto, NM, on May 7, 1926 to Earl Gordon and Bodie (Long) Gilmer and was raised by Bodie and Stepfather Stuart Gloss in Moriarty, NM. Betty graduated from Albuquerque High in 1943 and from Albuquerque Business College in 1944. She married Fred C. Hill on March 3, 1945. She was the founding president of the Albuquerque Home Builders Auxiliary. Betty had a warm, bright, sociable personality. She was an avid square dancer and artist who enjoyed ceramics, and painting. Betty will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The immediate family held a Graveside Service at the Mountainview Cemetery in Moriarty, NM. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Los Altos Christian Church, 11900 Haines Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM. The church is one block east and one block south of the intersection of Indian School Rd. and Juan Tabo.
