THOMPSON -- Derrick Andre Thompson, born on January 11, 1971, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 22, 2005. So unexpectedly he was tragically taken. Derrick was an avid football player and a serious 49ers fan. He was employed at Boise Cascade for eleven years, and recently transferred to American Furniture as a driver. He was a graduate of Sandia High School. He was a true son, grandson, brother, nephew, and cousin. He was loving, kind, and never judgmental. He took family and friends as they were. He leaves to mourn: his parents, Albert and Mary Helen Campbell; father, Tommy Thompson; sisters, Janie Thompson, Amber (Suni), and Brielle (Star) Campbell; brother, Mychal (Joey) Campbell, his fiancee, Melissa Turner, and son; grandfather, Limuel Burks, and wife, Margie, uncles, Paul Dorsey and wife, Viola, Samuel Skinner and wife, Gregory Skinner and wife, Richelle, Arthur Campbell, Jr.; Aunt Babe (Columbus) Skinner and cousins; The Bell Family, McKeller Family; Massie Family; special friends, the Buckman Family; the Maldonado Family, Michael Sanchez, Scot Kerlee, and Ricky Blea. He left us too soon, but we know he is with God on the wings of angels. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2005 at Chapel of Sunrise, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with burial to follow at Sandia Memory Gardens.
