ROMERO -- Peggy Romero, age 69, a resident of Sandia Park and a lifelong resident of the Albuquerque area, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2005. Mrs. Romero was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to cook, garden, play the slots and scratchers. She graduated from St. Vincent's Academy. Peggy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jerry; four daughters, Diane Craig and husband Tom, Bobbi Baughman and husband, Rick, Terri Romero-Boykin and husband Doyle and Shorty Burch and husband, Rob; grandchildren, Justin and Nicole Craig; sister, Rosemary Shaw; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruno and Angelina Cortese; brother, Frank Cortese and sister, Elizabeth DeLuca. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be Saturday, June 25, 2005, 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd., NE with Pastor Devan Woodyard officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Presbyterian Foundation, Nursing Education Fund, P.O. Box 26666, 87125-6666.
