HUBBERT -- James M. Hubbert died May 8, 2005 in Albuquerque. He and wife, Toni, moved to Youngsville, NM in 1996 after living in Albuquerque. Jim was born May 11, 1948 in Washington, D.C. at Walter Reed Army Hospital. His parents, Col. and Mrs. William Hubbert, retired in NM and preceded him in death. Jim's family moved into the 12th house built in Rio Rancho around 1964. Jim graduated from Valley High School in 1967. He served during the Vietnam War. After discharge, he worked at Bremerton, WA naval Station and later attended motorcycle mechanic school. He settled in the Denver-Colorado Springs, CO, where he earned a BS in Business Administration and certification in electronics engineering. For many years, Jim was a production supervisor and engineering technician at Digital Equipment Corporation in Colorado Springs. He left in 1991 due to a debilitating medical condition and company downsizing. Surviving him are his wife, Toni; stepson, Arand; daughter-in-law, Emily; and two grandchildren, Sadie and Ava. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial and Celebration of Jim's life will be held on Sunday afternoon from 1 - 4 p.m. in Youngsville.
