HARRIS -- Jimmy Dale Harris (71), October 21, 1933 - May 10, 2005, passed away peacefully at his home after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cora Mae Harris; his son, Mike and wife Cassandra; daughter, Brenda Rodarte and husband Richard; daughter, Dolores Huston and husband Mike; and his seven grandchildren, Brian, Pat and Daniel Harris; Ric and Tracy Rodarte; Christina and Kaylee Huston; and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Alleen, and his sister, Betty Jean Weaver. Jimmy was born in Albuquerque. He served in the Navy, and then worked at AT&T for 32 years. Since that time he was self employed and installed telephones for APS. He was a wonderful dad, husband, and papa whose family meant the world to him. He was active with all of his children and grandchildren. He was their #1 fan as he always loved to go to their games and activities. He was also a jack of all trades, he could fix anything and everything, and he would help anyone that needed it. He was a loving person who took an interest in everyone that he met. The Rosary will be recited Thursday at 7 p.m. at French Mortuary located at 1111 University Blvd. Mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Risen Savior (7701 Wyoming Blvd) on Friday at 1 p.m. A private Graveside Service will take place at a later date.
