MARTINEZ -- Frances G. Martinez, a lifetime resident of Santa Fe, joined our Heavenly Father on March 9, 2005. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Leo and Jo Martinez of San Diego, CA; her daughter and son-in-law, Yolanda and Ben Garcia of Bosque Farms, NM; and her grandson, Martel Martinez and his fiance, Lea Ames of Tehachapi, CA. Frances was preceded into eternal life by her grandson, Christopher Roybal; her husband, Tony C. Martinez; and her sister, Rosina Krause. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Gonzales, Fina Rivera, Tillie Gonzales and her husband, Albert; and by her brother, Mike Garcia and his wife, Corrine; her nephew, Louis; nieces, Marsha, Antoinette, Susie, Patricia, Emelia, Kathy, Donna, Lorraine, Bernadette, and Mae Jean; and numerous great-nieces and -nephews. She will be remembered for her dauntless spirit and her cheerful and kind disposition to those around her. Her family gratefully acknowledges the many kind and sincere expressions of sympathy offered by so many. At Frances's direction and request, no formal services or ceremonies were held. She asked that her remains be quietly laid to rest with those of her husband, Tony, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Arrangements set through Strong-Thorne Mortuary.
