GONZALES -- Guillermo Gonzales, 74, a resident of Albuquerque (originally from Mora, New Mexico) went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, March 12, 2005. He was a friend to all, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Rafael and Emilia Gonzales, and brother, Laurencio Gonzales. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Angie; four daughters, Diana Lueras, Joanna Salcido and husband, Larry, Grace Baca, and Noreen Gonzales; two sons, Ray Gonzales and wife, Lizabeth and Gary Gonzales and wife, Cecilia; 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one brother, Florencio Gonzales and family; three sisters, Laura Madrid, Arcilia Jewell, Dolores Garcia, Rosa Martinez and their families; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. Guillermo was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, carpentry, sports, telling jokes and attending his grandchildren's games and performances. He was a great example to all of those whose lives he touched. He will be greatly missed. Viewing will be held at Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St NW, Albuquerque, NM on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. A Memorial service will be held at Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque at 4001 Osuna Rd NE on Thursday, March 17, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception at the same location. Internment will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Friday, March 18, 2005 at 2:00 p.m.
