BEASLEY -- Walter Beasley, 82, passed away on February 22, 2005. Mr. Beasley was born in London, England, immigrated to Canada, then moved to Albuquerque with his wife in 1963. He was a devoted member of St. Marks on the Mesa, and served as a deacon and chaplain for many years. In 1961, he worked in Santiago, Chili as an aerial photographer for the earthquake disaster. He was a World War II veteran for the British military. He owned Morrow's Nut House in Winrock Center and Wally's Fish & Chips Shop in Fidelity Square. He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Beasley, in 1997; a sister, Maidie Hutchins; and a brother. He is survived by two nieces and one nephew who live in England; longtime family friends, Edmund and Betty Darrow; and Alison Hale. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at St. Marks on the Mesa, 431 Richmond Place NE, with a reception to follow.
