BACA (HERRERA) -- Genevieve "Jenny" Baca (Herrera) peacefully passed away at her home, in Albuquerque, NM, on Sunday February 13, 2005. She was surrounded by her loving family. Jenny was born in Nambe, NM on March 25, 1931 to Bernadino and Maria Juanita Herrera. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Pete Baca of Magdalena, NM; children: Sylvia and husband, Ray Trujillo, Leonard Baca, Gilbert Baca, Danny Baca, Arlene and husband, Jacek Pisz, Bernadette Baca, and Henry Baca and wife, Charlotte; brothers and sisters: Agnes Montoya, Samuel Herrera, Michele CdeBaca, Evelyn and husband, Tate Hall, Gloria and husband, Mike Trujillo, Eddie Herrera and wife, Betty, MaryLou and husband, Eloy Salazar, Olivia and husband, Johnny Roybal, Bennie Herrera and wife, Frances, Joanne Herrera, Frankie Herrera and wife, Aggie; sister-in-law, Viola Herrera, widow of Alfonso; grandchildren: Priscilla, Daniel, Peter, Nikki, Julian, Mellory, Isaac, Steven, Nichole, Elijah, Cody, Joshua, and Michael; great-grandchildren: Hailee, Laura, and Isaiah. She is preceded in death by brothers, Alfonzo Herrera and Frank Herrera, who was killed in action; and brother-in-law, Tony Montoya. Jenny attended Nambe Elementary and Pojoaque High School. She married Pete Baca on September 7, 1957 and moved to Albuquerque the following year where they started their family. She supported Pete as they began the family-owned Business Printing Service, Inc. She worked full-time for the business and was a loving and patient wife and mother. She also supported Pete with additional business endeavors. Jenny was an active member of her Parish, St. Joseph on the Rio Grande, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. Her hobbies included cooking, canning, gardening, sewing and quilting, traveling, and, most of all, spending time with her family. She touched countless lives. All that knew her were truly blessed. We, her family, would like to thank everyone for the love, support, and prayers during this time. Viewing Thursday February 17, 2005 at French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 4:00-5:00, and Rosary 7:30 that evening at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande. Funeral Service will be held Friday February 18, 2005 11:30 am at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande, followed by Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to Brothers of the Good Shepherd or Albuquerque Rescue Mission.
