ABEITA -- Claudette. After a courageous battle with cancer, Claudette departed this world on February 14, 2005, at the age of 47. She leaves behind her husband, Simon; daughter, Amanda; son, Eddie; and grandchild, Shaylee, all of Isleta Pueblo. She is also survived by her brothers, David Chavez and Dennis Chavez; her mother, Joan and mother-in-law, Margaret. Claudette was preceded in death by her father, Sonny Chavez and brother, Tim. If Claudette could speak today, she would say "Thank you" to all of the loyal and caring friends she worked with over the years at ASI and SEA who never forgot her, "Thank you" to the nurses in Chemotherapy at Lovelace, and a very special "Thank you" to the Hospice Network at Presbyterian who helped her through her last days. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Augustine Church, 71 Tribal Road 35, Isleta Pueblo with Father Hilaire Valiquette.
