MURRAY -- Kathleen Ann "Kay" Murray, 61, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend went home to the Lord on Monday, January 31, 2005 after a long struggle with lung disease. Kay is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Bill; children, Brenda Kay Akin and husband, Steve, Sean Murray, Cristie Murray, Melanie Murray, Kimberly Murray, Lance Murray, and Casey Murray, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Kyle and Kelley Murray, Stephen and Kaylin Ann Akin, John, Mason, and Jake Murray, Dillon, Donovan Murray, and Kristopher Rayner Jr.; brothers, Ricky Price of Albuquerque and Kevin Helmick of Belen; friend and caretaker, Leni Logan; and many other loved ones and friends. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, her grandmother, Josephine Price and her son, Randy Murray. Kay's occupation in life was being the "World's Greatest Mom." She was involved in all of her children's activities throughout her life. She was the Room Mother in elementary school, the Girl Scout leader, the Team Mother and most of all her kids' biggest fan and supporter. Her true joy in life was being a Mother and Grandmother.
