THOMAS -- Bruce Thomas, age 58, passed away at his home in Tucumcari, NM on Thursday, February 3, 2005 following an extended illness. Bruce Thomas was born September 29, 1946 in Artesia, NM. He had been Senior Vice President and Cashier of the original First National Bank, which later became Norwest Bank, and presently Wells Fargo. During his banking career, he was on the Board of Directors for both the First National and Norwest Bank in Tucumcari. Surviving Bruce Thomas is his wife, Gayle of Tucumcari; his daughter, Stacey Lynn of Clovis, NM; his brother, Gary Thomas of Dallas, TX; and his sister, Kay Thomas McKee of Artesia, NM. Funeral Services have been scheduled for Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the Dunn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dr. Tom Broom, Minister of the Center Street United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
