LOVATO -- Deacon Frank Lovato, a faithful servant to the Lord, loving husband, father, and pillar of the Duranes Community, went home to be with the Lord on February 1, 2005 after 84 years of hard work and dedication. He served two years in WWII, retired from Sears after 27 years of service, and served as a deacon for 25 years. He is preceded in death by his eldest son, Gilbert. He is survived by his loving wife, Dolores; sons, Elmer and wife, Charlotte, Xavier and wife, Bella, and Wilfred and wife, Yvonne; daughters, Merencia and husband, James, Jacqui and husband, Mike, and Lourdes and husband, Tim; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great- grandchildren. He is also survived by Ray Maestas and Lawrence Valencia whom he lovingly considered his sons and his brothers, Don Lovato and wife Celena and Rey Lovato. Deacon Frank Lovato will be deeply missed by all. Visitations will be held on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at San Jose de Duranes Mission Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. also at San Jose de Duranes Mission Church. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Laurence Valencia, Ray Maestas, Joshua Lovato, Gilbert Lovato, Lawrence Lucero, and Steve Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be Teddy Sanchez, James Gutierrez, Michael Herrera, Timothy Tafoya, Cisco Patino, Monique Gutierrez, Jessica Lovato, Erica Candelaria, and Felicia Lovato.
