ROMERO -- Alberto Romero, Jr., age 94, a lifetime resident of Mora, NM passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2005 at the Alta Vista Regional Hospital. He is survived by his sons and daughters: Martin L. Romero and friend, Cynthia Cordova of El Alto, NM, Albert Chris Romero and wife, Betty of Mora, Rita Lydia Velarde and husband, Leo of Albuquerque, NM, Susie Garcia of Cheyenne, WY, and Beatrice Trujillo of Albuquerque; 15 grandchildren;16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; sister: Loyola Lucero of El Alto, NM; sisters-in-law: Rosaura Romero of Cleveland, NM and Erma Romero of Las Vegas, NM; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Rosary devotional services will be conducted on Friday, January 20, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. at the St. Gertrude's Church in Mora. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. at the St. Gertrude's Church in Mora with Father Vincent Nicocia as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Mora Cemetery.
