BRYANT -- Lois M. Bryant, age 81, a resident of Albuquerque for 62 years, passed away after a sudden illness on Friday, December 24, 2004. Mrs. Bryant is survived by her children, David and Susan; sister, Nancy Becker; grandsons, Larry Higbee & Dameon Stanovck; great-granddaughter, Savannah Higbee; and many cherished lifelong friends. Lois was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and came to Albuquerque with her family in 1942 when it was suggested to her father to come west to help treat his tuberculosis. She met and fell in love with a soldier named Mac at the USO on Kirtland Air Force Base. They married and raised a family. She worked for Albuquerque National Bank for 35 years, taking only the time off that was appropriate to give birth to her children. She loved the next twenty years she spent at Kistler-Collister, all the while serving Presbyterian Hospital at the information desk accruing over 10,000 volunteer hours over 33 years. Mrs. Bryant is preceded in death by her husband G.M. "Mac" Bryant, daughter Patty Harkins, son Tracy Bryant, and infant son William Bryant. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 30, 2004 at 1:00 pm at Sombre Del Monte Christian Church, 2528 Utah NE, (Menaul & Wyoming area)with Chaplin Bill Dorman & Rev. Stan Hamamoto officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to Presbyterian Hospice Foundation or to the charity of your choice.
