BANNERMAN -- Edward S. Bannerman, 85, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2004. Ed was born September 18, 1919 the son of Anthony George and Rachel Helen Grant Bannerman in Gillette, Wyoming. Ed or Eddie, as his friends knew him, grew up in Edgemont, South Dakota. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and then became a P-47 fighter pilot with the 56th Fighter Group's famous Zemke's Wolf Pack. He married Jackie after the war and settled in Colorado. He was the second mayor of Rangely, Colorado and was always active in civic affairs, including the Masons and the Shriner's organization. In 1960 the family moved to Grants, New Mexico where Ed was the manager of Republic Supply Company. All of his children graduated from Grants High School. Ed lived in Grants until Jackie died in 2002. He then moved to Rio Rancho. He resided in Acantilado Vista Retirement Community in Rio Rancho. Ed was preceded in death by his wife Jackie. He is survived by his son John A. Bannerman and his wife Vicki Voida and their children, Marissa, Ian and wife Kim, and Sarah; daughter Candance L. Bannerman Bryan and husband Don; son Scott E. Bannerman and wife Cincie Bell and their son, E. J. Bannerman. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., (4310 Sara Rd.)
