RIVERA -- Marviline (Marti) Rivera, age 69, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, was called home by our Heavenly Father, Tuesday, November 9, 2004, while surrounded by her loving family. Marviline was born in Farmersville, TX and was a resident of Albuquerque. She was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church; formerly a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, where she served as past President of the Altar and Rosary Society; and a Parish Council member. Marviline was an Artist; she wrote two novels; and was a great and wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, who always loved her family to no end. Marviline will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Robert Rivera of the family home; she was blessed with five children, Robert William Rivera of Albuquerque, Joseph Lee Rivera and wife Loretta of Moriarty, NM, Lydia Troyce Hagan and husband William Randolph of Palmer, AK, Paul David Rivera and wife Paula of Edgewood, NM, and Katrina Diane Satriana and husband Gino of Rio Rancho, NM; her precious grandchildren, Merissa, Jonas Rivera, Courtney, Thomas Hagan, Manny, Richard Quintana, Jackie and Gino Satriana; three great-grandchildren, Deidra, Devon, and Reese Quintana. Also surviving are two sisters, Nancy Craig and Sue Patterson both of Texas; nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members and a host of friends. Visitations will be Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd., NW; where a Rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Church. Interment will follow in Encino, NM. Casket bearers will be Jonas Rivera, Marty Rivera, Charles Rivera, Gino Satriana, George Brudos and Rick Rivera. Honorary bearers will be Merissa Rivera, Courtney Hagan, Thomas Hagan, Manny Quintana, Richard Quintana, Jackie Satriana, Tom Archibeque, and Ted Archibeque. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the UNM Foundation to Benefit, UNM Carrie Tingley Hospital, 700 Lomas NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
