OROSCO -- Stephanie Ann Orosco, "Honey Bear," passed away peacefully on October 12, 2004, after courageously battling the pain of rheumatoid arthritis and lupus for more than 30 years. Stephanie was born June 18, 1955, in Belen, NM to Manny and Priscilla Orosco. She attended El Dorado High School and DeWolff's College of Hair Styling. Stephanie loved bringing people together for all kinds of celebrations and enjoyed making people laugh. She treasured the freedom driving gave her, and lived an independent life with strength and dignity, always trying to "go out and make it a great day". She touched many lives with her deep faith, constant determination, and positive outlook. Her father, Manny Orosco, precedes Stephanie in death. She is survived by her mother, Priscilla, of Belen, NM; and siblings, Karen Orosco and her husband, Mark Goldstein of San Francisco; Manny R. Orosco and his wife, Lee of Albuquerque, Loretta Orosco and her fiancee, Stephen Chase of San Francisco; Mike Orosco of Albuquerque, and Mary Dumont and her husband, Derrick Dumont, of Calistoga, CA. She has been a loving auntie to Monica and Adam Goldstein; Ryan and Carolyn Orosco; Zachary, Bryson, Spencer, and Jett Dumont. She is also survived by her boyfriend, Tito Sandoval. She will forever be remembered by her loving family, and her many friends, and we will all miss her. A Rosary will be recited Friday, October 15, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Belen Church in Belen, followed by a Memorial Mass on Saturday, October 16, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Belen Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to research at the Arthritis Foundation Greater Southwest Chapter, 1313 East Osborn Road, Suite 200, Phoenix, AZ 85014, (505) 265-1545, in Stephanie's memory.
