SLIPEK -- Martha Slipek, 90, a resident of Los Lunas, NM since 1976, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2004. She was an active member of the Valley Lutheran Church. She worked for ten years at Heager Pottery in her hometown, Dundee, IL. She then moved to Los Lunas and worked for the next ten years as a secretary at The Sandia Base Warehouse. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Louis Slipek; two sisters; and three brothers. Martha is survived by her loving children, Eugene Slipek and his wife, Loretta of Albuquerque, Glenn Slipek of Phoenix, AZ, Mary Ann Barnett of Los Lunas; a special twin sister, Marie Bowers of Albuquerque; nine grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be celebrated at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 6 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Albuquerque following the service.
