CHAVEZ -- Mr. Louis G. Chavez, 80, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family at his side on October 2, 2004. Mr. Chavez is the beloved husband to Virigina Chavez, married for 58 years. Mr. Chavez is also survived by his seven loving children, John Chavez and wife, Ilona, Barbara Jaramillo and husband, Bob, Margaret Chavez, Christine Rostro and husband, Dave, Nash Chavez and wife, Dina, Patricia Masserini and husband, Tom, and Martin Chavez; two sisters, Josefita Benavidez and husband, Boleslo, and Petrita Humphrey and husband, George; one brother, Jose "Seferino" Chavez and wife, Mary; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Chavez was preceded in death by his son, Robert Louis Chavez. Mr. Chavez was a member of the Catholic Church, and a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War I I. A visitation for Mr. Chavez will be Tuesday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A final visitation will be Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at San Martin Catholic Church, 8301 Camino San Martin SW, with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father Anthony Bolman. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with full Military Honors. Pallbearers will be Christopher Chavez, Michael Jaramillo, Aaron Sandoval, Matthew Rostro, David Martinez, and Martin Chavez. Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Jaramillo, Lorenzo Rostro, and Carlos Chavez. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW 243-7861
