LOPEZ -- Beatriz "Beatrice" P. Lopez, age 90, a resident of Bosque, NM passed away early Thursday morning, September 16, 2004 at home. Beatriz was a graduate of St. Joseph College in Albuquerque with a Bachelor of Science Degree and taught school in Socorro County, Magdalena, NM, La Joya, NM., and for the last 20 years at the Belen Consolidated Schools. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Belen. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Rumaldita Pacheco; brothers, Florenio and Juan Pacheco; and a sister, Alice P. Chavez. Beatriz is survived by her husband of 60 years, Florentino Lopez of Bosque; brother, Gilly B. Pacheco of Albuquerque; sisters, Libby Pacheco of Albuquerque; Lily and husband, Jerry Jaramillo of Lancaster, CA., Betty Barela of Belen; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Monday, September 20, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church 300 N. 3rd St. Belen, NM, with Pastor Joy Armstrong officiating. Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St. Belen.
